Sherlock Holmes 2 at the head of the box-office US.As waited, Sherlock Holmes 2: Game of shadows became leader of the box-office but in a softened enough way since figures are on this side of waitings. However, with 40 million dollars of recipes, the film however took ancestry easily on competition.
But Sherlock Holmes 2: Game of shadows brought back this weekend 40 million dollars, a distinctly weaker figure than 62 millions which had been accumulated by the first shutter during its weekend of exit in 2010. Damage, because obviously this new shutter is good and better than the first... The same thing for the film of animation Alvin and Chipmunks 3 who accumulated 23.50 million dollars, against 49 millions for the previous opus... Difficult to explain this chasm, but perhaps the parents they decided to say not in these productions really not terrible. They believe not too much in it, but as it is never known... The film should however make a health with holidays. Dommage, car apparemment ce nouveau volet est bon et meilleur que le premier... Même chose pour le film d'animation Alvin et les Chipmunks 3 qui a amassé 23.50 millions de dollars, contre 49 millions pour l'opus précédent... Difficile d'expliquer ce gouffre, mais peut-être les parents ont-ils décidé de dire non à ces productions vraiment pas terribles. On y croit pas trop, mais sait-on jamais. .. Le film devrait tout de même se refaire une santé avec les fêtes.
The very good operation of the weekend is to charge up Mission: Impossible - Protocol ghost because figures are misleading. Indeed, the film was cast only in 425 rooms (IMAX) against 3700 rooms for both first of the classification... En effet, le film n'était projeté que dans 425 salles (IMAX) contre 3700 salles pour les deux premiers du classement...
Studios Paramount took the risk of broadcasting, to begin, the film only in equipped rooms IMAX, 425 therefore. But it was a nice initiative because the film indeed is to see in this format, of which Christopher Nolan doesn't cease singing the praises (unfortunately in France they are very badly off in term of IMAX). And studios Paramount were rewarded because it is madman's score which was attained. Indeed if they take into account 13 million dollars gathered in on these 425 rooms, it gives us a 30 588-dollar average by room, it is furious!!! Really so much the better because the film is good and those who saw it in format IMAX true small lucky dogs are simply.
Happy New Year postpones four places therefore and they aren't going to shed tears over this pitiful production. On the other hand we are rather disappointed to see that the comedy Young Adult made a mediocre entrance on the seventh place of this classification with 3.5 million dollars of recipes. The previous films of Jason Reitman, Thank You for dinner jacket and Juno had brought back 4 and 10 and million dollars with equal number of rooms and In the Air, 12 millions but in more rooms.
The box-office of the weekend in USA (recipes recorded between Friday, 16 and Sunday, December 18th):
