(:: Scenes of the movie ::)
Phenomenon goes on:Taken out respectively in rooms on January 7th and November 18th, 2009, first two episodes of saga Twilight met a huge popular success. This day, they gathered in more d '1,1 thousand million dollars of recipes worldwide.
Twilight then triumphed in video: in the United States, the DVD of Temptation was sold to more than 4 million copies the first weekend of its exit in March, 2010 (exceeding so 3,8 million first shutters) and established itself as the best sale of the year, with 9,2 million copies. In the third episode, the characters who compose the loving triangle - Bella Swan, Edward Cullen and Jacob Black - arrive at a decisive moment: Cullen and the Pack of Wolves are going to have to unite facing the danger which threatens it.« When they got down to the adaptation of Twilight, we were told ourselves that the third shutter would be best, »Wyck Godfrey, one of the producers entrusts. «I think that it is because the most spectacular scenes of action are found there, and it is because they know that the relation between three protagonists reaches a turn.»
« But for me, Hesitancy speaks especially about the decision of Bella to become vampire and consequences of such decision, »he adds. «She must weigh for and against by thinking about what it implicates to become the eternal companion of Edward.»
The writer Stephenie Meyer acquiesces: «For me, the key issue of Twilight is that of consequences of its choices: even good decisions draw consequences away and, also, not to make decision also has consequences. When they become grown-up, they realise that they are obliged to take consequences of his acts, and that one straight to take it in consideration. Bella becomes grown-up and starts to take consequences of her acts.»
Relations between many characters of the film tighten: «Jealousy and confidence are big stakes in any human relation, »the author continues. «It is a dimension which I want to explore in my books and, when I write, I am fascinated by the complexity of human relations. There is a tremendous number of elements concerning the characters of Victoria, Riley and Bree who don't appear in the film. When they worked on scenario, I have to give heaps of information to Melissa Rosenberg, the scriptwriter. It was interesting to develop all this background in main intrigue.»
« I rely on Stephenie, and more still for Hesitancy than for first two shutters a lot, »definite Melissa Rosenberg. «For the third episode, we went beyond the book and we dived in the middle of the mythology which Stephenie invented. She helped me to give life to the characters.» »
In Hesitancy, a new character is discovered: Riley.« As books are told from the point of view of Bella, the acquaintance of Riley is made only when she meets him, »the scriptwriter adds.« But Stephenie had thought about its appearance in history, and it is what allowed me to give him an existence as character, and to make him not not simply come into sight right in the middle of the third act.»
« Hesitancy is the film which was the most difficult to write, »she adds. «I had told myself at first that it would be easiest because of many scenes of action. But when I began writing scenario, I realised that action is especially in the last third of the film. Suddenly, I have to readjust dramatic tension and action. It is undoubtedly the scenario which will have given me most thread to twist, but it is also my favourite of three.» After Catherine Hardwicke and Chris Weitz, it is David Slade who was chosen to stage Hesitancy.
« Since departure, they wanted to vary the styles of production from a film to the other one and they had therefore told themselves that they would call three different film directors, »Godfrey explains. «For Hesitancy, we needed somebody who could work with young actors while having a very marked visual world and a capacity to run the sequences of action. David Slade was the man of situation, all the more so as he loves supernatural stories. In Hard Candy, he relied principally on the job of the actors, while with 30 days of night, he perfected his visual style. He introduced us his own vision of the film, and they realised that he could give us what was especially searched - for the sequences of action-key of the film.»
« What attracted me in this plan, it is that it is about a tremendous history and about a brilliant challenge to be raised for a movie director, »notes Slade. «I don't like to be repeated, and I want to be confronted with difficulties. It was therefore a true challenge for me since I had to accomplish a film of this largeness, in record time, and try me in a completely different type. If it is well about a film of vampire, it is especially a big love story. The realisation of the romantic stages allowed me to mature. And all books of saga, Hesitancy is my favourite.»
« Temptation was especially interested in the emotional reports between three protagonists, »he resumes.« But with Hesitancy, I wanted to accomplish a film which has more largeness and breath. There is a tremendous number of rebounds and spectacular instants in the book and, suddenly, I wanted to adopt a resolutely film approach.»
Slade worked in close cooperation with the technical actors and the team already present at the generic of first two opuses. «David has a brought forward sense of humour which really speaks to me, »Godfrey signals. «He has a rather definite idea of the way he wants to translate every stage visually.» signale Godfrey. « Il a une idée assez précise de la manière dont il veut traduire visuellement chaque scène. »
« I always try to insert my ideas of production in scenario, »declare Slade. «I showed my story-boards to Melissa whom she included into script. Sometimes, they spoke about a character and about his history, and Melissa understood very quickly what I wanted to tell. Then, they phoned to Stephenie Meyer and she still enriched our ideas: it was important for us to have his consent because, after all, it is his world.»
« Every stage of writing differred, »the writer underlines. «On Fascination, I feared walking on the flower beds of the scriptwriter and I reacted only on elements which seemed to me important. It was brilliant because they were between girls - with Catherine and Melissa - and because they were very a party.»
« With Temptation, it was interesting because Chris is at the same time film director and scriptwriter. They understood each other very well. He consulted me systematically and I remember a stage for which he said to me: `Adaptons-la such as she exists in the book.' As writer, it is very nice to hear.»
« On Hesitancy, several allers-returns between us, even after the beginning of filming were made. It is a very thick book, with numerous rebounds. They didn't cease returning to elements and withdrawing from it - it was very complicated. They worked a lot thereupon with Melissa. She even used news which I was writing. There is an incredible connivance.»
« With every film director, I lived a new experience, »she adds. «With David, they very well agreed in music. There are the same tastes, and he accomplished the pop videos of my favourite groups. I think that its musical sensitivity and the sense of the production which it showed in its pop videos were of use a lot for it for Hesitancy. It is a tremendous collaborator.» The actors subscribe to these purposes.« As actors, they have a prodigious chance to work on the same intrigue, with the same partners, but to have a different film director every time, so it is necessary to fit to the style which is peculiar to them, »Taylor Lautner explains. «This episode is resolutely darker: we are in war, and Victoria tries to satisfy his revenge. The wolves-garous and vampires are ready for offensive.» »
« The sequences of action are more present in this third shutter, »add Pattinson. «Temptation was more intimist, while Hesitancy has a much quicker rhythm. And tonality is there harder. Battles are there much more intense and more violent. Even in the sequences of debate, the tempo is more supported - what is going to surprise it more of one.»
« Curiously, I think that it is the episode which was the easiest to turn, »Kristen Stewart notes. «I had no trouble to plunge me back into this history, especially after Temptation, where Bella passes by several instants of intense reflexion. In Hesitancy, she is much more in action. She must confront events willy-nilly without emotional impact on her. Having been facing situations where her life was in danger, she is taken there a little better.» »
« Hesitancy is my favourite book, and the public is going to love this film because romantic dimension between Bella, Edward and Jacob, »there is found the points out Lautner.« But we are also in war, and the sequences of action are therefore astounding. David instituted a darker atmosphere than in two previous episodes. I think that - at the moment - it is my favourite film of three.»
« Stephenie much more got involved in this third opus than in two others, »bring back Pattinson. «The only fact to know that she looks at the combo can prove to be intimidating. But in many respects, it is very convenient, especially when they try to persuade somebody. They ask him then if it took place well in one way or another in the book. It is very practical!»
« Stephenie had more time to be dedicated to filming since she doesn't have book anymore to be defended, »Godfrey determines. «Besides, she lives in my caravan when she visits us on the set! What is tremendous, it is that when a stage is turned, she sees things which we don't see because she lived with her characters since for a long time. Sometimes she gives us advice and it enriches the stage which is turned. She gets involved thoroughly in the writing of scenario and she makes sure that we don't miss fundamental elements of the book. She even participated in casting: recording of auditions is shown her, and she gives us her opinion, what makes a producer almost of her.»
« I really have a privileged role when I work with Summit because it is a true collaboration: ideas are exchanged and they very well agree, »takes back Meyer. «In general, when a writer signs a contract with a society of production, he doesn't hear about it any more up to the exit of the film. In my case, I have a mad chance because I learnt a lot and I met tremendous people. I am very happy that to me am let get involved in the manufacture of the film, and that I am so much consulted. Sometimes, they refuse my ideas, what I understand very well because it isn't possible to keep everything the book. »Godfrey thinks that the fans will adhere completely to the third shutter:« The film marks the culmination of all for what they wait since the beginning. I have the feeling that there is a true progress up to this paroxysm which is going to erupt on Forks, in the State of Washington - and all this because of the decision of Bella to become vampire.» reprend Meyer. »
Bella, Edward and Jacob: the loving triangle in its summit:
« Temptation spoke of tensions between these three characters, »the scriptwriter Melissa Rosenberg notes. «It was a matter of rivalry and jealousy - fundamental human feelings linked to love and to loss of other people there. These relations within the loving triangle arrive at a critical point in Hesitancy. It is a dramatic material enthralling for a scriptwriter. It is brilliant to write a character as that of Bella, to bring to light his force and his depth, all the more so as Kristen Stewart lends him his personality. I love this type of characters.»
« At the bottom, it is a love story. All means are searched so that Bella and Edward could live together, while they know that it is logically impossible, »outbids Godfrey. «What is tremendous, it is that they work with the same scriptwriter since the beginning and that it was possible to have actors who adhere perfectly to their characters and who understand books very well. Besides, the film directors whom we chose became very pointed concerning the books which they adapt for the cinema. Suddenly, they become identified right away with the characters.
Also, I have an impression that Robert and Kristen slip naturally into the skin of Bella and Edward.»
« They saw with these characters since a bit, »Stewart declares. «It is learnt a little more about them in every film, and they fit to their evolutions. But they have no trouble to endorse these roles as soon as they are on the set. »Hesitancy approaches several loving registers: true love, fantasized love and possibility of being in love with two persons at the same time.
« For me, the loving triangle, it is of love fantasized and true love, »Stephenie Meyer explains. «I took a character and I made him choose between two persons. Bella really falls in love with Jacob in Temptation without realising it because she lived until then only a loving fantasy: a marvellous being has eyes only as her and the future seems to him radiant. And then, she falls in love Jacob, as they fall in love in true life: Jacob is his best friend and she understands that she wants to spend all her time by its sides. But she doesn't become aware of what arrives at her, because she had love only quite other experience.»
« Suddenly, in Hesitancy, she must take her feelings and accept the fact that it appreciates her not only as friend and, as a result, to make a choice between this relation and its fantasy of love, »the writer adds. «For me, outcome was inevitable - she ends up choosing Edward - but I wanted that she envisages all consequences of her choice, and that she includes what she abandons, by taking into consideration well all consequences of her decision.» «Edward represents ideal love, while Jacob represents a more human representation of the love, with his imperfections, »David Slade points out.« What has me much more in this history, it is that Stephenie approaches the problems of the best love in a society where he practically disappeared. It is a splendid topic which, unfortunately, doesn't interest media a lot. But it is difficult to build an interesting history from the best love because nice stories are most often born of big conflicts. The success of Stephenie Meyer, it is that she could imagine a major conflict, without its being to the detriment of the best love. It is for it that books - and films - meet with success in the world.»
« They think most often that love is dangerous, and that vampires are it just as much, »the film director signals.« But they told themselves that it would be interesting to make our vampires of the positive characters, in which they feel like resembling, and allowing to our heroine to make choices. I think that it isn't so banal. In saga, Bella considers that it is normal not to have sexual relations. It isn't a question of stigmatising sexuality, but of saying that they aren't obliged to sleep from the first time of a relation. They lived in a society where the women, and notably the youngest, are sexually very liberated. I think that it is an element which enticed the readers of Stephenie Meyer and that it is very healthy.» »
« Hesitancy starts on an optimistic tonality: Edward and Bella are once again united, after traumatisante experience that they lived in Italy, »Stewart explains. «My character is always followed by vampires but his real problem consists in admitting that there are different ways to love somebody. She must suppose that she is madly in love with her best friend, but not as much as with Edward. For me, Hesitancy speaks about passage at the age grown-up and about realisation that the choices which are made aren't willy-nilly instinctive. Bella matures and, even if I am very tied to her, I think that she is still not right.»
« The decision of Bella has irreversible consequences, »raise Slade.« If they choose to become undying, it isn't possible to come back any more rear. Bella has to evolve to be capable of making such decision. It is what was tried to show in the last scene of the film.»
« The contradictory feelings that enliven Bella are harrowing for her, »the film-maker continues. «The decision draws dramatic consequences away, but she can become somebody else - somebody capable of taking her choices, but her will be able to make it that having lived events which relates the film. When all is said and done, it is surprised at having overcome all danger, and she includes while she is part of the world of Edward, much more than the world of the human beings. It is what makes its choice easier - even better, it is what makes that she can't take other decision.»
« Bella is a captivating character, »note Rosenberg. «At first, she chooses Edward, what reflects a bit childish and idealistic state of mind. She hadn't still well thought about what implicated her relation with him. Because it is very difficult to imagine consequences which can draw away the decision to become vampire when there are 18 years old. The film recalls therefore the evolution of Bella which must make adult's choice: at first, she chooses it by listening only the heart, while in the final she chooses it by envisaging all facets of such decision.»
« The first shutter speaks of the discovery of love, second of loss to be liked to it and the third of the difficulty of a loving relation when this one becomes a reality, »underlines Pattinson. «Edward much more wants to get involved in his relation with Bella: while he was very insulated in first two episodes, he understands that he must integrate with the real world and the future more human. It was so reclusive that he found it difficult to act normally and to feel the same emotions as the human beings. »
« His unconditional love is put to the test, »he adds. «They are mutually very tied, but they are more less exclusive and possessive: they are more opened to others. Suddenly, their relation - who created so much problems to so many people - takes a much more appeased and normal turn.»
« From now on, Bella is determined to become vampire and in the fact that it is Edward who transforms her, »he continues. «Edward is there very reticent, but tells himself that if they get married, he will be more disposed to accept this idea. But other threats happen. Instead of running away as in Temptation, Edward, in Hesitancy, decides to fight to defend his relation, and not only to confront his enemies.»
Edward must also confront his sense of honour. «He comes of another epoch and his stocks therefore differ completely, »Kristen Stewart explains. «He tries unsuccessfully to have the air of a young man - it is a very old character who goes out with a 18-year-old girl. Suddenly, he wants to get married, but not her. On the other hand, they have the same waitings in relation to other one, but express it differently.»
« Edward wishes that she lives thoroughly every human experience before becoming vampire, »Godfrey underlines. «For Edward, it is important to get married in due form before getting involved with her for eternity. Its dilemma consists therefore in knowing if she must marry it or not before becoming vampire. Edward still hopes that she will change the mind, and abandon the idea of becoming vampire, because he leaves of the greeting of his soul.»
« Hesitancy takes place only over month, in the course of which Bella and Edward try to find good balance in their relation, »the writer notes. «Bella is very determined, while Edward thinks tremendously about consequences of his acts. He changes attitude completely: first very protective, he finds that he went too much far and takes its distance, then leaves again in the other sense. If he had said to Bella that he didn't wish that she sees so much Jacob, not because he feared that she is in danger, but because it dissatisfied her, she would have listened to him. There is always a lot of misunderstanding within a couple - between unsaid and difficulty in expressing its emotions - and it is experience of which Bella and Edward make.»
« Edward changes behaviour in this film, »declare Pattinson. «He is jealous and mean-minded. With Bella, he proves to be possessive. He has the reactions of a 17-year-old teenager - he is jealous of types which dredge his girlfriend - and it draws away consequences to reports between all characters. On the other hand, Edward is in gap in comparison with Bella and Jacob because they have, for their part, a normal relation. Edward must therefore fight his old demons and make his proof with Bella.»
« For me, Hesitancy marks the apotheosis of the loving triangle, »underlines Lautner. «In Temptation, Jacob hated Edward of all his being. From now on, in Hesitancy, while he must team with Edward to protect Bella, he learns to know him badly one better. Suddenly, in the stage under the tent, they have a debate heart-to-heart. As Edward is capable of reading the thoughts of Jacob, he knows exactly of what he thinks, while my character doesn't know of what he thinks. He asks him then to allow him to read his thoughts - and Edward accepts. He gives to understand him that Jacob would be undoubtedly a better choice for Bella.»
« My favourite sequence is that of the tent, »outbids Meyer. «They hear of what Edward and Jacob really think and for the first time, without realising it, Bella becomes aware of their feelings - and I loved writing this stage. Bella, Edward and Jacob meet in a cramped space, and they can't avoid some others.»
« In reality, Edward knows Jacob well, »the writer adds.« But Jacob had had never opportunity to discover Edward, and thinks that it is a being inhuman and lacking in emotions. Jacob can't hate him any more after this dialogue, while Edward has never hated him because he knows that he is spurred on by good intentions. It is a stage-hinge for their reconciliation and their rising friendship.»
« Edward is taken in vise between his feelings to be Bella and his desire to make her happy, »having said the author. «He can't frankly detest Jacob because he knows that this one is a type well. In the stage under the tent, Edward has opportunity to show him that he doesn't have rancour towards him/her because he knows that it is a type well».
« Bella got closer to Jacob in Temptation, and there is from now on a very strong link between them, »takes back Pattinson. «Edward still bears a grudge against them, and his resentment increases throughout Hesitancy. But in the final, he must accept Jacob and the assistant of the pack of the wolves to fight the army of the newborn babies. Suddenly, Edward accepts relation between Bella and Jacob and fact that if a type is interested in her, it isn't willy-nilly reprehensible. He must also admit the fact that he always smelt in the bottom of him that Jacob was a type well and that it is for it that he had lived him as a threat.»
« In some way, Edward always wished that she chooses Jacob and that she leads a normal life of human being, but he couldn't refuse his love for her, »Godfrey signals.« If she chooses him, he must accept idea that it is the type of life that she wants. Jacob accepts this reality and understands that Bella prefers Edward and that he won't succeed in winning her. What joins them finally, it is that they both love Bella.»
« Consequences which draws away this or that choice are a major topic for Stephenie, »points out Rosenberg. «It is the central subject of the film. I concentrated on the choices which she must make. It was then necessary to make of Jacob a true rival for Edward, what is all the more difficult Edward represents a form of ideal.»
« Jacob represents the choice of a human life, »still signal Rosenberg. «With him, presents itself the possibility of founding a family, of get old beside the one whom they like, and to live in the world where Bella grew. In the opposite, Edward represents the renunciation of all that. It is between these two poles that Bella is going to have to cut.»
« Jacob thinks sincerely that Bella is made for him, and he will have of cease fighting for her up to her last breath, »Godfrey underlines. «Suddenly, he enters conflict with his pack because vampires are their lethal enemies. What pleases me, it is that in the final her mates accept Bella, in spite of their initial hostility. This warm world attracts Bella: it understands that as soon as it will become vampire, she will lose all that.»
« At the end of the film, Bella agrees to marry Edward, »add Rosenberg. «What I liked in the writing of this scenario, it is that I was led to write a speech for Bella on the question of the choice. It is not only a choice between Edward and Jacob, but also it is especially a choice between the picture that others cast of itself and the person that she is indeed. It is therefore an initiatory course since she discovers her true identity. It is an extraordinary transformation, that is waited since several books. She becomes a real woman.»
« Kristen brings a splendid authenticity to Bella, »Elizabeth Reaser gets enthusiastic. «It is a difficult film for young actresses: Kristen never minces about, but she favours sincerity. »Three actors wanted to work together. Les trois comédiens ont aimé travailler ensemble.
« I love working with Taylor, »Stewart entrusts. «We have the same type of relation in true life: they are very natural to some with others. Besides, with Rob, they laugh much more in the dramatic stages, and much less in stages supposed to be light and odd. This episode was the simplest to turn for us because we created a dynamics with who nobody am not possible interfere.» »
« Taylor is a tremendous type and I had almost no stage with him in the second episode, »signals Pattinson. «Suddenly, it was really brilliant to be in this third opus. Both characters confront one another and I loved turning these sequences.» Lautner found it very difficult to detest Pattinson on the screen: «It is a type really delightful, »he explains. «I am supposed to browbeat him a bit. It is really odd because they laughed and because they joked before catch, and then as soon as they hear `Moteur', I had to start to hate him. It was a true challenge.» explique-t-il. « Je suis censé le rudoyer un peu. C'est vraiment drôle parce qu'on riait et qu'on plaisantait avant la prise, et puis dès qu'on entend `Moteur', je devais me mettre à le haïr. C'était un vrai défi. »
« They form a true family, »outbids Godfrey. «It is astounding to see to what extent these films confused their professional and personal life. Each time a filming is started, they feel leaving in holiday camp. They are very thrilled at the idea of meeting, and then they squabble as in all families and, at the end of filming, they tell themselves `à next year. 'There are so many people who wait for these films with impatience that it is possible only to be happy to give such present to the spectator.»
The clan of vampires: the Good, Trouble and Law:
Jackson Rathbone in that of Jasper, Kellan Lutz in that of Emmett are found at the Cullen Ashley Greene's in the role of Alice, Peter Facinelli in that of Carlisle, Nikki Reed in that of Rosalie, and Elizabeth Reaser in that of Esme. «Cullen decided to accept Bella, even if she really endangered them, »the producer brings back. «A band of vampires disembarks in Forks and they are going to have to fight them to protect Bella.»
Cullen and wolves-garous agree to defend Bella and the human population of Forks and of Push. «In Temptation, Quileute gets changed into wolves-garous in the presence of vampires: they are as the oil and the water - they don't blend. And however, when Cullen solicits the assistant of the wolves-garous, they accept gladly because they love killing vampires.»
Alice Cullen, whose donation of clairvoyance is essential in Temptation, is badly comfortable here:« As the wolves-garous are numerous more and more, their presence unsettles its capacity to envisage the future, »notes Greene.
« On top of that, Victoria is informed from now on and exploits the lacunas of her médiumnique power. They know that Bella is in danger, but they don't know if threat comes from Victoria, from the clan of Volturi or from an army of newborn vampires. Alice and other members of the family Cullen pass so a lot of the film to be tried to know who bears a grudge against Bella.»
« They know that Volturi wants that Bella is immediately transformed into vampire, »adds Facinelli. «Besides, Cullen makes a truce with the wolves-garous, what Volturi deplores.»
Jasper's past becomes crucial in the resolution of situation: «They learn that Jasper was always a soldier, even before becoming vampire, »Godfrey signals. «In the XIXth century, he joined an army of newborn babies, what allows him to tell Cullen of what risks taking place. The Newborn babies are stronger, quicker, and they work only in instinct. Vampires are indeed at the top of their power in first two months of their transformation.» Rathbone explains: «Jasper is Texan, just as me. Jasper became vampire at the time of the war of Secession, while he was the youngest commander of the Cavalry of Texas. He was enticed, then transformed, by meeting three pretty women. Their leader, Maria, used him to lead newborn soldiers at the time of the wars of vampire in the South.» »
« By reading Hesitancy, I was enthralled by Jasper's history, »David Slade underlines. «He allows us to understand well the world of Stephenie. Historically, in the XVIIIth and XIXth centuries, it was common that vampires transform the human beings into vampires to raise an army and to win their territory. And then, Volturi put an end to it. Suddenly, there wasn't army of vampires since for a long time - and suddenly, there is one there. Somebody raised an army of vampires but nobody knows who, nor why. It isn't a good thing. Because this army is going to have to confront Cullen.»
« As Jasper knows well the functioning of the armies of nouveaunés, he was chosen to teach his methods of battle, »adds Rathbone. ajoute Rathbone.
« Of us all, Jasper is the one who knows the best the danger which represent the newborn babies: he knows their force, their appetite, their functioning and their reasonings, »Greene adds. «He explains therefore to Cullen their state of mind, and learns them how to use the talents and the intelligence to avoid them - because they are much stronger than them.» ajoute Greene. « Il explique donc aux Cullen leur état d'esprit, et leur apprend comment utiliser leurs talents et leur intelligence pour les éviter car ils sont beaucoup plus forts qu'eux. »
« In general, Carlisle and Edward are at the controls because Edward is capable of reading thoughts and because Carlisle always played father's role, »Meyer is recovering.« But Jasper knows how to deliver this battle and well his adversary. It was interesting to give him the occasion to be able, for time, to be at the controls. I loved writing the stages of battle which I described as a choreography.»
« To listen to Jackson Rathbone speaking about Jasper was a true pleasure because he knows his character on the fingertips, »follows Slade. «He is completely on the wavelength of his character. By seeing first two shutters, I wondered why it was held in that way. In fact, it is because it is the way a soldier is held. This period interests him a lot. He knows well the history of the Cavalry of Texas and he often spoke to me of the way the officers had to be held and contact the women by taking off the hat. He so had opportunity to use his accent Confederate. And on top of that, it is a tremendous horseman: he was naturally obvious in this role.»
« I ride a horse since I am small, »adds Rathbone. «I really wanted to delay my boots of horse-riding for filming. It was interesting to plunge into Jasper's personal history and to include why it is most often held in the bottom of the room saying no word. Because in reality the cloudy past haunts him.»
« With Hesitancy, I had finally opportunity to speak about other members of the clan Cullen, »Meyer signals. «They knew that Jasper was a tortured being who finds it difficult to be in the presence of Bella, but they didn't know why. It interested me to recall the violent past and the experience of war: he sank into depression, what encouraged him to search a more peaceful way. But it isn't completely either suitable for him...» signale Meyer. « On savait que Jasper était un être torturé qui a du mal à se trouver en présence de Bella, mais on ne savait pas pourquoi. Cela m'intéressait d'évoquer son passé violent et son expérience de la guerre : il a sombré dans la dépression, ce qui l'a poussé à chercher une voie plus pacifique. Mais cela ne lui convient pas totalement non plus... »
« Hesitancy speaks especially about revenge and about love, »takes back Rathbone. «Two can make suffer. Revenge is a harmful feeling that drains you inside. And love, when it isn't reciprocal, can produce the same effect.»
The spectator also learns the circumstances of meeting between Alice and Jasper. «Having escaped Maria, Jasper pushes the door of a restaurant, »Greene explains. «Alice waits for him there because she can predict the future. It is a young woman full of boldness which says to him: `Tu to me ace makes wait very too much for a long time. 'She takes him then in her clan: the love of this family is good for it because it feels like broken. »Godfrey adds: «Alice persuades him to live as Cullen: without feeding on human blood.» »
In the perspective of battle with the newborn babies, Jasper encourages every member of the family Cullen to perfect his own style of battle, likely to reflect his clean personality: «Carlisle and Esme have the team spirit, »explain Lutz. «Alice is quick and difficult to catch. Edward is formidable: he doesn't need to make it a lot because he evades the blows of his adversary by envisaging them beforehand. Jasper is very clever and uses the force of his enemy against him. Rosalie doesn't hesitate to use a tree as a bat: if she was human and that she was in a bar, it would be type to break a bottle and to use it as weapon. For her, any means will do.»
Just as Jasper, the spectator learns it more about Rosalie's past in this episode of saga. «In fact, if she is so hostile towards Bella, it is because she lost a lot by becoming vampire, »Godfrey points out. «The death was of a prodigious violence, »explain Rosenberg. «By savagely assassinated, she was deprived of what she aspired: found a home and cast happy days to the person whom she loved.»
« For Bella, Rosalie's history reminds her that she will be able to have neither family, nor child, »the scriptwriter still signals. «Therefore, it is there a choice which takes Bella. It is what upsets Rosalie: she thinks that Bella makes the bad choice. But Rosalie's history helps Bella to make a decision of adult.»
« Rosalie was prevented from living her life of human being, while Bella wants to abandon it, and it is what makes her mad, »definite Meyer.« When Rosalie tells her story to Bella, she tells her: you don't realise what you risk failing. In reality, Rosalie is fond that Bella makes good decision, because she thinks that her renunciation is deep.»
« She bears a grudge against him because she would really like to be mother, »notes Reed. «She would have liked to lead a very conventional life: take care of her husband and of her children. It is his ideal of life. Suddenly, the immortality makes her unhappy.»
Just as Rathbone, Reed finds a way to bloom in this third episode. «It is really difficult to participate in such plan in which they have such a modest role, »she entrusts. «So much in the book, Stephenie Meyer can take the liberty of detailing every character, so much in the film, intrigue is focused on two or three protagonists. It is for it that with Jackson, they were very happy to turn this third episode.»
The film explains so why Rosalie and Emmett form such a good couple: «It is simple, »declare Reed. «He needs to be mollycoddled. It is the secret of their relation: Emmett brings to light a generosity in her who works only with him. She sees him as a child. He needs her, and she likes that they need her. Rosalie wants to have to take care of somebody because she had no chance of credit of child.»
« Emmett is as my child, »add Lutz. «It is a character happy to live beside Rosalie, and with simple joy. He considers Rosalie to be his wife, the love of his life and his guardian angel because she saved him life.»
The actors trained for battle six days a week. «I try unsuccessfully to be extremely sports and to like sports of the extreme, I have never suffered so much, »brings back Lutz. «Each of my muscles hurt me. I put on in yoga to relax. I made exercises of battle every day, and I tremendously ate. On top of that, I love eating and getting some exercise: one might as well say that I waited for this filming with impatience. I make boxing of her and of Jujitsu for a long time, what rather well helped me for training. On the other hand, other actors had never done combat sport.»
« This film was one of my favourite filming because they were paid to do some sports, »Facinelli has a good time. «They trained for battle, and then physical education was made, and in the evening they made yoga. Kellan prayed a bit because he had an impression that it wasn't very virile. But he has since attains a true internal peace!»
« I had never received such training for a filming before, and this film was particularly physical, »adds Reaser. «We were learnt to adopt the good attitudes when they fight. And it is a true work! Even when they pretend to hit somebody, or to knock, it is enough flippant.» Reaser both liked physical job and emotional. «I loved turning conducted by David Slade because he had a tremendous vision of the character of Esme, »notes Reaser. «He saw her as a tender mother, in temperament well dipped.» »
« They know well that a mother can become uncontrollable if she has a feeling that her children or her family are threatened, »reminds Reaser. «Suddenly, Esme is formidable in the film. I drew inspiration a lot from my own mother who is ready to eliminate all those who would dare to speak ill of me!»
« David Slade was interested a lot in relation between Carlisle and Esme, »she continues. «He really wanted that their reports are searched and that they know about it more about their love story. It is besides what I prefer at vampires: when they like each other, they forever like each other. Same Victoria suffered from an unhappy love affair from which she has never recovered, and it is what explains its violence. Vampires are whole beings who never make things half.» »
« I loved working with David, »having said Facinelli. «It is a clever type which is always ready to answer your questions. He pushes the actors to give the best of themselves. During repetitions, he encouraged us to search our characters so that they are at the top at the time of filming.»
« David has a tremendous look, »takes back Reed. «Besides, three film directors who ran us have each approach them things: Catherine has a true freshness in step, Chris is very cerebral and David puts himself personally into scenario and into job with the actors. He wants to spend time with us and works six or seven days a week to be sure that they are all on the same length of waves, what is all the more significant as they are very numerous. They need definite left luggage offices because it is easily possible to be lost, notably in the collective stages. I love having feeling to be run.»
« David is tremendous, halfway between Catherine and Chris in some way, »underline Lutz. «Catherine overflowed with energy, just as David. He knows perfectly what he wants. Chris is a very soft type with which they easily agree, and David is as him. Hesitancy is neither a simple action film, nor a simple love story, or a pure film of vampire: it is a subtle mixture of three.» Slade considers that repetitions with the actors are fundamental. «There is a tremendous number of characters, and therefore many actors, what requests a particular attention for each, »the film director entrusts. «I try to devote time to each. During preparation, I met all actors regularly to discuss their stages. For example, Peter Facinelli explained me importance that scarves for his character dress. I make sure that no detail avoids me.» »
« I make an installation with every actor separately, so when they meet on the set, each discovers the point of view of other one with a new look, »the film-maker explains. «I think that it would be mad to consider Cullen as as a whole: they are all distinct individuals. I therefore spoke with each of his tastes and his reports to others.»
The interpreters of the clan Cullen also appreciated to meet: «It is brilliant to return to Vancouver and to find me with all my buddies, »signal Reaser.« Each time they come back there, things are only improving: making-up, hairstyle, adequacy to our characters..."
« They systematically feel taking back a history where it would have been interrupted, »notes Facinelli. «A family is really formed and suddenly, they feel finding an old friend who would have been lost sight since instant.»
« It is a bit as holiday, »outbids Reed. «It happens that they work non-stop and that they are burst, but there are also instants of relaxation where they are to live it up. »The actors have another motive of satisfaction: the fans. «I sometimes go on Internet and I read what the fans wrote on my character, »declares Reaser. «I am hit to see to what extent they surrounded well Esme. They help me rather well to build the character. It is astounding: I had yet ever gone on Internet to see of what an inhabitant of Kansas thought of my character - and however, it proved to be useful.»« Je suis frappé de voir à quel point ils ont bien cerné Esme. »
In this third opus, Victoria - who represents the enemy to slaughter - always tries to avenge his lover, James, person killed by Edward and Cullen in Fascination. It is Bryce Dallas Howard who camps Victoria, while Xavier Samuel (Riley) and Jodelle Ferland (Bree), play his henchmen.
« Rachelle Lefevre wasn't available any more, while they were in three weeks of filming, »Godfrey tells. «We needed therefore somebody who clears the same charisma and who is credible in incarnation of Wrong absolute. It happens that they had planned first of all to entrust the role of Victoria to Bryce, and it was therefore be our first choice. Luckily, she was free and delighted to make it. She has an astounding presence. It isn't obvious to disembark among all these actors who have already made two films together. She won us all and she made a splendid work.»
« I loved books and I have an admiration without demarcation as Stephenie, »Howard explains. «I understand completely the fascination which Twilight exercises because it is an exciting history and very, very romantic.»
« Suddenly, as fan and actress, I felt as an obligation to give the best of myself, »she declares. «It is also because this character was first created by Rachelle. She is nice and charismatic, and she so well played the role as I told myself that I had duty to follow its job of the best that I could.»
« Victoria is a queen of escape, »note Slade. «She always appears when he isn't waited, then disappears without leaving trace. But it is also a manipulator and a seductress. As man, I think that I would really fall in the panel - really.»
« What I thought interesting, it is that Victoria is heard to speak for the first time in the third volume, even if it isn't the case of films, »the actress is recovering. «In the book, they note that she speaks as a small girl. It fascinated me and I wondered how be faithful to this description without falling in the ridiculous. It is a formidable seductress, but while manipulating others, she acts as a small girl, and it is there only more terrible. There is something unhealthy at home and when they hear him, they realise that she isn't very net.» »
The actress recalled the voice of her character with the writer. «Bryce is tremendous, »Meyer notes. «She said to me that she wanted to work voice and I answered him that it was a very good idea. She didn't play the character as a predatory or a warlike, but rather as the manipulator of genius. She gives feeling to be a bit thrown into confusion. Victoria isn't very good for battle, but nobody can catch her when she flees. Otherwise, she isn't very dangerous - except the fact that she succeeds in manipulating others and in making them it make than she wants.»
« In the past, Victoria proved to be very hard and, for this film, has its hardness only at the end, at the time of final clash is received, »Slade to be taken back. «I think that Bryce's benefit was all the more persuasive as she decided to give some softness to her character.» «She is very opened to suggestions, and she even agreed to make particularly violent waterfalls, »he continues". But under her visible softness terrible Victoria nests whom they knew in two previous opuses and who does again her appearance at the time of battle.» Mais sous son apparente douceur se niche la terrifiante Victoria qu'on a connue dans les deux précédents opus et qui refait son apparition au moment de la bataille. »
« She wants to get revenge, »Howard underlines. «She wants to make them pay, especially Edward, by killing Bella. It is a vampire of a big force which nobody succeeds in capturing. Revenge is a tremendous feeling to be interpreted because there is nothing more difficult as a human being than forgiveness. Suddenly, to play a character of villain was very liberating. It is very instinctive: most vampires trust only their instinct. At the human beings, on the contrary, questions of ethical order are asked. It is for it that Cullen is so intriguing for Volturi: they don't listen to their instinct. They have a human functioning which encourages them to wonder about the notions of Good and of Trouble.»
«Victoria is a vampire in 100 %, »she adds. «She isn't vegetarian. She loves her condition of vampire, while for Cullen, it is a curse. It is linked to their experience of human beings. When it became vampire, it was invested with powers. Perhaps that as human being she had destructive tendencies, but as she didn't succeed in going to the actual. Transformed, she came true.»
The Australian actor Xavier Samuel makes his debut here in an American film.
« When his audition was viewed, Gillian Bohrer, to Summit, right away said to me that he had thought he was brilliant, »Godfrey remembers. «He was sent and he had sensitivity and presence which we needed for Riley. It was a type well as human being, but it has leader's soul since he `nouveau-was born. 'Therefore, he hides a true vulnerability and he doesn't realise that he is manipulated.»
« Xavier is still not known, but he isn't going to hesitate to become him, »raises Slade. «It is a very good actor. At the time of auditions, he really went out of the lot.»
« He is little present in the book, but from a film point of view, they told themselves that they have to develop a little more the character, »entrusts Slade.« Even if for me things were rather clear concerning, I understood that it was necessary that the character is a bit enriched and that they give to the spectator of additional information on his past, »Meyer admits. «It is a bit frightening type, but especially that made bad choices because he met the bad persons. He became evil, but he wasn't just like that at first - and he is punished well thereabouts where he sinned...» His mission consists especially in running vampires newborn, difficult to monitor. «The newborn babies are in the summit of their force during the year which follows their transformation and formidable soldiers are, »explains Rosenberg. reconnaît Meyer. « C'est un type un peu effrayant, mais surtout qui a fait de mauvais choix parce qu'il a rencontré les mauvaises personnes. Il est devenu malfaisant, mais il n'était pas comme ça au départ - et il est bien puni par là où il a péché ... » Sa mission consiste surtout à diriger les vampires nouveau-nés, difficilement contrôlables. « Les nouveau-nés sont au summum de leur force pendant l'année qui suit leur transformation et sont de redoutables soldats, » explique Rosenberg.
« It is difficult to centre them because they are unforeseen and obey only their thirst for blood, »Samuel adds. «Riley has therefore of what take care to.»
« It was a true challenge because I didn't want that my interpretation falls in the plate of the vampire, »he resumes. «It was therefore necessary to keep some humanity. But I had a good time well, even if people hate you because you are the bastard. But me, I loved this!»
« They repeated a lot, and they tried to understand how Xavier works because he is attacked by contradictory emotions: anger, fright, love, »signals Slade. «They therefore discussed a lot with Stephenie to surround the character well.»« On a donc beaucoup discuté avec Stephenie pour bien cerner le personnage. »
Contrary to Howard, Samuel didn't know well the work of Stephenie Meyer. «I hadn't read it, but I had friends' full who were mad with Twilight, »he declares. «One of them even fainted by learning that I am going to play Riley. Suddenly, I right away bought books and I devoured them. Today, I am impossible to catch out on the world of Twilight!"
« There are all ingredients to return this overpowering history: love, danger, sex, revenge», he says. «I understand that it is such best seller.»«Je comprends que ce soit un tel succès de librairie. »
Production chose a young Canadian actress as one of the newborn vampires: «Jodelle Ferland, who has already been on the poster of several films at the age of 15 years, is tremendous in the role of Bree, »Godfrey declares. «I feel sorry for her, »Meyer entrusts. «She has the vulnerability of those who find themselves cast in a new life, and who lost all their landmarks, but who don't know what to make otherwise to follow orders.»
« Even if she is part of `méchants', she doesn't want to make the trouble, »explains Ferland. «She doesn't want to be a monster, but she has no choice.» Cullen tries to offer him a shelter in final battle, but Volturi sees things differently. «Bree would like to make the good, »the actress continues. «They explain him that she must learn to control her instincts. She is full of goodwill, even if it is very difficult. She doesn't know rules and it is for it that she doesn't respect them. But she will nevertheless be punished. Volturi is frightening because they despise any notion of justice. They make well fun to know that Bree is unaware of rules.» »
Ferland was delighted to participate in this adventure: «I loved books, »she says. «I became hysterical when I knew that I had got the role! I didn't believe my eyes. It first seemed to me to be too nice to be true, but I had the right to speak about it to nobody.» So that she could get ready for the role, Stephenie Meyer made him read news which adopts the point of view of Bree and that gave to the young actress of information on the character not appearing in the novel. The writer also delayed a copy of news to Melissa Rosenberg, David Slade, Bryce Dallas Howard and Xavier Samuel so that they are all on the same length of waves. «I very much liked this news which gave us quite a lot of details on the characters, and that helped us in locations and production, »notes Slade.« I think that the fans are going to love thanks to the intriguing details on emotions and anxiety of a newborn vampire.» »
« When I began writing this news, in 2005, I envisaged it as exercise allowing me to have another point of view on Hesitancy which I then was finalising, »the writer explains. «I had told myself that it could become news which I would post on my Internet site. And then, when I started to write The Twilight Saga: The Official Guide, I told myself that my news could appear there. But this one proved to be be longer than I had imagined him at first, and of blow she couldn't be any more in the Guide. »News, "The call of the blood - The second life" from Bree Tanner: Year Eclipse Novella, will appear June 5th, 2010, a little before the exit of the film.
In the clan of Volturi - who fix and make apply the laws of the world of vampires - Dakota Fanning in Jane's role, Cameron Bright in that of Alec, his brother, Charlie Bewley in the role of Demetri and Daniel Cudmore in that of Felix are found. Four Volturi is sent in the northwest region of the United States to investigate the dead who covered with blood Seattle. They use it to prove the status of Bella's immortal which interests their leader Aro, as well as Marcus and Caius who stayed in Italy. «Volturi represents, as one might say, the mafia of vampires, »point Facinelli out.« They make reign order in their world. They fix borders and rules, and they kill all those who don't respect these rules strictly. But these rules aren't always very clear for Cullen. That's how in the course of final battle, Cullen has to eliminate the newborn babies before the arrival of Volturi. But when these last disembark, situation is even more complicated because Cullen doesn't know in what camp they are. »At the end of the film, Aro announces that Bella must be transformed. «They try to regulate a small problem happened in Seattle, and to see if Bella is always human, »signals Fanning. «I think that perspective to destroy Bella is rather appealing for Jane. She feels like seeing if she will succeed in investing her brain when she will be vampire. »Jane is capable of making other people suffer with the only force of his mind. «My character is dark and menacing, »takes back the actress.« I have an impression that she always is fomenting something. It isn't as long as she feels like harming - it is simply her deep identity. Even if it is a character who has got nothing to do with me, it entertains me a lot to dress me up as vampire, to wear red contact lenses and brilliant costumes.» »
It was needed between 1 h 30 and 2 h 30 a day to the actors interpreting vampires to be made up and to carry contact lenses painted at the hand: «They don't see very well on sides, but there is a look of Hell, »Fanning gets enthusiastic. Cameron Bright, who camps the twin brother of Dakota Fanning, wanted to have a good time between catches. «What I made, it is that I surveyed the main street of the city by carrying my lenses, »he tells. «I took my sunglasses away then to see the reaction of people. It is odd because there were in general eight photographers who followed me everywhere when I went out of my hotel! It has been ten years since I make this job and I had yet ever lived the similar knack.» Bright interprets one of the guards of the clan Volturi. «I am part of henchmen, and I am capable of removing to other people his sensory faculties, »he says. «I am the factotum of the highest gradés.»« J'enlevais alors mes lunettes de soleil pour voir la réaction des gens. »
The English actor Charlie Bewley also interprets a henchman of the clan Volturi. «Demetri is a very elegant Italian, and a protector of Volturi, »he declares. «It is a pisteur of genius that spots its preys in the sound of their voice. Unless killing him, it is impossible to avoid to him. Volturi has the right to make all that they want. No wonder they are a bit arrogant. It was very nice to play.»
« Hesitancy differs from two previous shutters because there is more action and that he gets closer more to the horror film, »adds Bewley. «In the big sequence of battle, the newborn babies are formidable because they have some human blood which runs into their veins. On the other hand, they are naive and miss training.»
Daniel Cudmore, who camps Felix, acquiesces: «The newborn babies are uncontrollable, unforeseen and begin dangerously being spotted by the human beings. They risk then revealing the secret which vampires especially haven't to reveal.»
« Felix is of a prodigious force: he is capable of pulverising other vampires with a lot of easiness, »takes back Cudmore.
« Volturi is aristocrats, but have a very animal side. It is brilliant to let speak its animal part when they always learnt to suppress it.» The interpreters of the vampires of the clan Volturi were delighted to meet on a set conducted by a new film director. «David is a tremendous movie director, »underline Fanning. «It is strange to camp the same character while being run by a different film director. What is brilliant, it is that by working with a new film-maker, they have an impression of renewed freshness, as though it was about a new film, but not completely nevertheless.» »
« I made the acquaintance of David on the filming of Temptation, and it is really very odd, »adds Bewley. «He is completely in his world and it is an extremely gifted film director. He knows very well what he wants and he has a true look of film-maker. What doesn't prevent him, on the contrary, from being a delightful and very opened type.» Cudmore adds: «David has a black humour which I love. They feel seeing the ideas which take form in the head. He spends his time to be crammed. Fact to have a new film director injected a mad energy in this saga. It gives a tone to each of the films which is peculiar to it. In Hesitancy, there are a lot of action, intrigues, new characters - and a sequence of incredible final battle.» »
The Human beings:
In the role of the parents of Bella, Billy Burke (Charlie Swan) and Sarah Clarke (Rene Dwyer) are found. «I think that Charlie represents the point of contact between fantastic world and reality, and a kind of moral landmark, »signals Burke. «Charlie to close eyes on what takes place, what is amusing when they know that he runs the police of Forks. In fact, he too much prefers not knowing about it.»
« Charlie is one of the characters who I took most pleasure to be written, »underlines Rosenberg. «Billy is a sensational actor with an extraordinary presence. I love writing for him. There is a stage which I particularly like, it is when Bella announces her that she is virgin. It is a very delicate instant for the father as for the girl, all the more so as they find it difficult to announce the one with other one. Suddenly, he is heard to mumble and to turn around the pot in a very realistic way. He is tremendous.»
The actors Anna Kendrick (Jessica Stanley), Michael Welch (Mike Newton), Christian Serratos (Angela Webber) and Justin Chon (Eric Yorkie) interpret once again the schoolmates of Bella and Edward at the high school Forks High. «The carefree atmosphere of the high school really cuts with that of the parallel world in which lived Bella where everything is a matter of life or death. It allows to Bella to see what his life could resemble if it hadn't become attached to Edward.»
« Jessica always tries to draw attention, but she is at all times next to the plate, »Kendrick adds. «There are all a bit of Jessica in us, as there are all a bit of Bella in us. She represents what isn't Bella just - a kind of Bella's antithesis.»
« It is a rather dark film and the human beings give a little of lightness to the film, »definite Serratos. «Our characters bring a little of humour. Angela is a timid and nice girl who becomes apparent more and more. She is friendly with Bella for a long time and gets closer to it a little more. I think that it is for it that she drops a little more than before: she found in Bella an intimate friend.»
« Our group ends up accepting the couple that Bella forms with Edward, »takes back Kendrick. «They aren't very comfortable in their presence because they frighten us a bit, but they also fascinate us. They never point out that Cullen eats nothing!» »
« Mike represents the loser that all was known at the high school, »explains Welch. «On top of that, he has as rivals a vampire and a werewolf who are the most attractive and most powerful creatures of the planet!»
« Bella assures link between the human beings and Cullen, »add Chon. «The secondary school students don't pay attention to dramatic events which take place, they content themselves with cheering up Bella by their only presence. In fact, they bring a little of lightness because, simply, they act as normal teenagers.»
« Eric has a girlfriend from now on and his case is therefore less despaired, »declares Chon. «He a little better fitted to the life of the high school and he has very different friends. I think that he has a good time, but not for for a long time... »The new year holiday allows to the secondary school students to enter the home of Cullen finally. «They wait this party with impatience because they very feel like knowing where they live, »said Chon. «They don't know too much what to expect. They know simply that Alice invited us to it.» Even if their roles are modest, the actors appreciated to work conducted by David Slade. «He always makes sure that everything takes place well on the set, and that nobody is frustrated, »Kendrick points out. «It is a clever and very odd type, »assure Welch.« He is extremely definite in his directives and in his vision of the film. It is all the more tremendous as he has very good intuitions. I really trust in him. And I count on him to have no air of a moron - even if Mike is supposed to have the air of a moron!» »
Production and scriptwriter took some freedom in relation to relations between the secondary school students. «It is easier to move away from the book concerning the human beings because the fans are very attentive to the fact that the film respects scrupulously the transposition of the world of the wolves-garous and of vampires, »Kendrick signals. «I am happy that it is possible to take some freedom to find our marks. On top of that, our characters are in Final year students and it is perhaps our last occasion to participate in adventure Twilight. Suddenly, they tried to use it as many as possible...»
New characters come from past:
Catalina Sandino Moreno (Maria), Jack Huston (Royce King) and the English musician Peter Murphy make their appearance in this third shutter of saga Twilight. «What is tremendous in a film as this one, it is that there are quite a lot of actors who feel like participating in it, »Godfrey confesses. «The agent of Catalina contacted me and I didn't expect to have an actress named to the Oscar which feels like playing one also cameo role. It is really nice to have to make no long casting to find the good interpreters, but that it is five marvellous actors who solicit us to play in the film. »Encircled with Kristen Prout (Elektra) and Leah Gibson (Caprica), Catalina Sandino Moreno camps one of three women who cross Jasper's road in the XIXth century. «Maria is a woman vampire very powerful which recruits Jasper to help him, »she says.« Maria really loves Jasper because he intrigues her and she makes of him her right hand.» »
« Maria raised an army of Newborn babies and made Jasper her henchman and her lover, »explain Rathbone. «In reality, Maria used Jasper because he is capable of manipulating emotions and of controlling the newborn babies to draw them away in battle. »Moreno loved interpreting a vampire. «I had a good time a lot wearing clothes and contact lenses of vampire, »she declares enthusiastically.« As long as to interpret a vampire, as much as it is a baleful vampire.»
She also appreciated her collaboration with David Slade. «I love the film directors who are opened to the suggestions of the actors, »she notes. «He was always ready to listen what the actors had to say. »Coming from one from actors' oldest families to Hollywood, Jack Huston camps Royce King, the fiancé of Rosalie at the time of Prohibition. «Old cars and period costumes were used, but to reconstruct Rochester, in the State of New York, of 1933, they especially worked the attitudes of the actors, »underlines Slade. «Jack plug Huston, who played in an adaptation of Hemingway recently, gave a baleful key to his character who suited perfectly. I played a lot on his allocation, much more than on the elements of decors and accessories to bring us back to the thirties. »Peter Murphy, the pope of Gothic rock, made an appearance in vampire of the XVIIth century.
« The name of Peter Murphy will say to nothing probably to most people, »David Slade signals.« But I grew in the eighties, in an epoch when Gothic music was a success. There was this group, Bauhaus, which sang this tube Bela Lugosi' s Dead: it spoke about this big actor who played Dracula in 1931. It is a tremendous song which recalls the death of a vampire and, of course, Peter Murphy was the leader of the group.»
« Suddenly, I wondered who could well interpret the very first vampire in Hesitancy?», follows the film director. «Why not Peter Murphy? He was contacted and he gave us his passionate consent. I know that there are people who are my age old, or even older than me, who read saga Twilight, and who will admit Murphy therefore.» »
« David is English, and there was a kind of immediate connivance between compatriots, »asserts Murphy. «By giving me his left luggage offices, he played the stage himself, and it was so persuasive as it was easy to imitate him. I didn't have much to make. It is a true gentleman.»
